How to find IMEI on Android and iPhone

Every mobile device has a unique IMEI number. Here is how to find it on the most popular platforms.




Universal method (all phones)




Dial *#06# on the phone keypad. The IMEI appears immediately — no internet needed. Write it down or take a screenshot.




iPhone





• Settings → General → About → scroll to IMEI


• On iPhone 6s and earlier: IMEI is printed on the SIM tray

Dual-SIM phones




Devices with two SIM slots have two IMEI numbers (IMEI 1 and IMEI 2). Check both when verifying device status.
